In Loving Memory of Sybil Taylor Barnett

We honor the life of a beautiful pillar in the Fergus Simpson Foundation of Jamaica’s Clarendon Community. Aunt Sybil served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and was Advisor and Friend to the Fergus Simpson Family. From 2005 to present she had endeared herself to our campers in her varied roles and their Auntie, Mother, Grandmother, Counselor, Friend, Culinary Instructor, Track Star, and Master Motivator. She unobtrusively assisted campers to complete tertiary educational goals and made many dreams come true.

Aunt Sybil was the curator of our history and the steward of our dreams. She consistently reminded us of who we were and what we could become.

Thank you for helping us to continue to “Treasure the Past, Train the Future and Transform the Community (TR3). Your donations will be used to sponsor kids for camp, invest in educational sponsorships and contribute to the building of the Sybil Taylor Barnett Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Sybil’s wish was to have donations made to The Fergus Simpson Foundation and/or The Church of the Good Shepherd.

Soon to be published book by writer Danelle Pinnock

We have an opportunity to help support our new FSF village spotlight writer, Danelle Pinnock, on a venture to publish her new book.

Danelle Pinnock is a Christian, Jamaican, wife, mother, and chemistry degree holder who over the last decade has added survivor, writer, and international speaker to her personal adjectives as God used her journey with sickness to open up several doors.

Danelle is now a full time homemaker and freelance writer and lives in Kingston, Jamaica, with her husband Raul and their two children Levi and Zhuri. She enjoys being a worship leader at her church Christian Life Fellowship. Unique earrings, Christmas, and Hallmark movies make her heart smile.
